Scottish Movies

Scottish Movies

I am a Scottish blogger which means it wouldn't be good if I did not cover a review on some of my favorite Scottish films. I am doing this blog post in honor of the #ScottishKiltwalk that will be taking place in the next 2 months.

I think that some of the best movies come from Scotland which means I think that you should also think the same... and if you don't? well you will after you review this post.

NOW before we continue... you should probably know that some of your favourite actors are actually Scottish and have been hiding under your nose the whole time. We have James McAvoy, Richard Madden, Robert Carlyle, Karen Gillan and of course Gerard Butler.

I haven't just added pictures of the most attractive Scottish men to boost the blog views... I am just being a kind blogger and making your experience on this post more interesting during your read.

OKAY! we should probably make a start and start listing the Scottish movies that you may have already seen or are about to go and watch after reading.

Brave

I am going to start with a Disney film that is very much Scottish even though it may have not been created in Scotland... doesn't mean that it is not Scottish.

Brave(2012) is an animated Disney film that tells the story of a young Scottish lass named who set out on a mission to reverse a spell that turned her mother into a bear.

Brave is an exciting animated film that makes me proud to be Scottish... and it makes me even more proud that Walt Disney released an animated film that depicted the Scottish culture in the medieval times.

I recommend this movie every single time someone I know wants to watch a good Disney film because it is simply wonderful. I personally felt how emotional Merida felt when her father had given her the bow and arrow to keep as her own.

I understand that I am an adult and I am recommending a Disney film but we actually do love Disney films because we appreciate the story-line behind them and we should not be judged for something so true.

I want you to go and watch this and then leave a comment below telling me what you thought of the movie overall.

T2 Trainspotting

Trainspotting... was a film that I never had an interest in but I still watched it because everyone was really excited at the time and I wanted to see what all of the hype was about.

Trainspotting(2017) tells the story of Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) who returns home after 20 years to be welcomed by his old buddies who can potentially lead him down a troublesome road.

I did not watch the first film as I was informed from many people that it did not matter in which order they were watched but I can honestly say that the film was a solid 7/10 for myself which is a pretty high rating for me to give a movie that I wouldn't generally consider watching.

I do recommend the movie to anyone who is interested in the story-line that is details and would also recommend it to the people who may not be interested in such story-lines.

The End

I wanted to make this post in honor of the #scottishkiltwalk because it is something that allows for amazing charities to come together and raise money for their cause.

I understand that you did not see the most obvious film on this post... if you can guess the film then please let me know in the comments below this post. The first 3 people to let me know will be followed on Instagram via the blogs Instagram page.

I thank you for taking the time to read the blog and hope that you enjoyed it. If you are wanting to read more reviews on movies then please go ahead and browse the blog and you will be sure to find more interesting reviews that have been made by myself.
